Taiwan is a strategically important market for Barclays in Asia Pacific. In July 2022, Barclays established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Barclays Securities Taiwan Ltd (BSTL), to provide brokerage and underwriting services to the bank’s global and Taiwanese corporate and institutional clients.

The buildout of our platform in Taiwan aimed to leverage our global Investment Bank expertise and footprint to provide clients access to key regional and global capital markets, as well as cross-border investment opportunities.

Barclays Securities Taiwan Ltd (BSTL) is licensed to engage in Brokerage and Underwriting businesses onshore, and has steadily grown its presence amongst Taiwanese corporate and institutional clients.
