Our Accessibility Commitment
Accessibility at Barclays means we ensure that we provide products, services and environments that work for everyone, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. This extends to how we design and develop digital services – ensuring we provide a great experience for a greater number of people.
Barclays is serious and committed to disability inclusion and accessibility so that our digital services and workplace tools are easy to see, hear, understand and interact with for everyone, including customers and colleagues with disabilities.
We strive to design and deliver all digital services to conform with the requirements set out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA level and EN 301 549. We continuously work towards improving the user experience for everyone.
Our goal is that visitors to our digital platforms should be able to:
- Navigate content using a keyboard or assistive technology
- Read content with personalised colours, contrast levels or fonts
- Zoom in and/or resize text
- Understand important graphical content however they choose to access it
- Listen and navigate content using text-to-speech or screen reader software.
We ensure that text is clear and easy to understand. We ensure that our designs are consistent and easy to follow.
