NEWS AND EVENTS
Each year, an estimated 4.2 million young people in the US experience a form of homelessness. Covenant House was incorporated in 1972 to help address this issue and provide a vital lifeline to those in need.
Barclays has supported Covenant House in this endeavour for a decade.
Colleagues have consistently raised funds for Covenant House through the Sleep Out programme, where they spend one winter night sleeping in a New York City parking lot. Colleagues are able to talk to the affected young people directly to find out more about them and better understand what support they need to get back on their feet.
In the span of a decade, Barclays colleagues have raised over half a million dollars to help fund Covenant House’s vital support, including providing 5,000 nights of safe shelter and crisis care for those who need it most.
