Barclays is committed to driving change and improving the gender diversity across the bank, including in leadership positions. To help achieve this ambition, we require a strong pipeline of female talent at all levels.
Learn Engage Apply Perform (LEAP) is a leadership programme designed by Finance colleagues to enable women to develop a leadership mindset, enhance their capability and support their transition into leadership positions.
Initially developed in India in 2020, the programme launched in 12 locations across Europe and the Americas in March 2021. Over 35 weeks, participants are invited to join a series of training sessions, collaborative group projects, creative team-wide activities and public speaking assignments.
The programme has helped to develop a gender diverse pipeline of future leaders, with 45% of the 2020 cohort and 25% of the 2021 cohort promoted to the next corporate grade since taking part.
