Institutional Investor recently released its annual 2020 Global Fixed-Income Research Team survey results, with Barclays climbing to #3 overall with 52 ranked teams. Based on over 5,000 portfolio managers and buy-side analysts among roughly 1,500 institutions, Institutional Investor remains a staple in its reporting on the research industry.

Demonstrating the strength of Barclays' Fixed Income Research franchise globally, the results showed 13 first-ranked teams. The US franchise displayed strong results with 37 ranked teams, of which 12 were first-ranked. In Europe, Barclays recorded 11 ranked teams and maintained its positions in Asia, EMEA and Latin America, with four ranked teams.

In Credit, every senior analyst and strategist on Barclays’ US Investment Grade and High Yield teams received a ranking, with 15 ranked teams in US Investment Grade, of which 9 analysts were ranked first-place, and 17 ranked teams in US High Yield, of which 2 analysts were ranked first place. Barclays was also named the top-ranked European High Yield team.

These results demonstrate that we are delivering on our mission to affect clients’ decision-making through independent, thought-leading, differentiated research in fixed income markets. We are particularly proud of the breadth of ranked analysts across regions and asset classes.
